A graceful single-arch medieval packhorse bridge on the old camel route through the cedar forest, spanning the Diarizos river in perfect stone silence.
Type: Heritage · Area: Paphos forest, Troodos Mountains · Best time: Year-round · Entry: Free
Kelefos is the most elegant of the Venetian-era packhorse bridges that once carried camel trains hauling copper through the Paphos forest. Its single pointed stone arch spans the Diarizos river in deep woodland.
Reached by forest roads from Pera Vasa / Agios Nikolaos; a normal car manages in dry weather, but the gravel roads are slow.
Informal parking beside the bridge.
Year-round; spring and autumn are loveliest, and the river runs highest after winter rain.
