A historic forest station in the heart of the Paphos Forest, shaded by giant plane trees, with a picnic ground, a small café and a campsite. Its main draw is the fenced enclosure where you can reliably see Cyprus mouflon — the island's shy wild sheep. The approach is a long drive on winding gravel roads, so set out early and fuel up first.

Stavros tis Psokas is a historic forestry station set in a wooded hollow in the heart of the Paphos Forest, shaded by towering plane trees. It has long been a base for foresters and walkers, with a picnic ground, a campsite, a seasonal café and rooms — but its star attraction is the fenced enclosure where Cyprus mouflon, the island's protected wild sheep, can be seen up close and reliably.
On winding forest roads from Polis/Lysos to the west, or from Panagia and Kykkos. The last stretch is mountain driving; parts are paved and parts are gravel, so allow plenty of time and take it steadily.
Free parking at the station beside the picnic ground and enclosure.
Year-round in daylight — spring and autumn are most pleasant. Mouflon are most active in the cooler early morning and late afternoon.
