Pivo does what its name promises — the capital’s own microbrewery, pouring its beers fresh metres from the tanks in the old city. The taster flight is the way in.

Pivo Microbrewery is in Dali, south of Nicosia. Nicosia’s old city, ringed by its Venetian star-shaped walls, is where the capital eats and drinks — Ledra and Onasagorou streets and the lanes off them, a world away from the business districts outside the walls. Golden hour is the moment — arrive an hour before sunset for the best seats, then stay as the place fills.
