Lefkara is a hill village famous for two crafts: 'lefkaritika' lace embroidery — said to have charmed Leonardo da Vinci — and intricate silverwork. Its cobbled lanes and stone houses feel a world away from the coast.
Signed off the A1 motorway between Larnaca and Limassol, up into the hills (about 40 minutes from Larnaca).
Parking at the village edge; the narrow centre is best explored on foot.
Year-round; spring and autumn are most pleasant for walking the lanes.
