Omodos is the heart of the Krasochoria (wine villages), a cobbled village built around the Monastery of the Holy Cross and lined with wineries, 'zivania' distillers and shops selling 'arkatena' rusks and 'soutzoukos'.
Signed off the B8 in the Troodos foothills above Limassol; about 40 minutes from the coast.
Large car park at the village edge; the centre is pedestrianised.
Year-round; the wine villages are at their best in the autumn grape-harvest season.
