A sheltered cove of electric-turquoise water at the tip of the Akamas. Reach it by boat from Latchi, a rugged 4×4 track, or a two-hour coastal hike — then swim straight off the rocks.
Type: Swim · Area: Akamas Peninsula, Akamas & Paphos · Best time: Jun–Sep · midday light · Entry: Free
The Blue Lagoon (Galazia Nera) sits on the wild Akamas coast between Latchi and Fontana Amorosa. Its sheltered, shallow water glows an almost unreal turquoise over a pale rock-and-sand bed — which is why nearly every Latchi boat trip drops anchor here for a swim stop.
By boat trip or water taxi from Latchi harbour (~20 min), by 4×4 along the rough Akamas dirt track from the Baths of Aphrodite, or on foot via the Aphrodite/Adonis trail (about 2 hours each way). Ordinary hire cars should not attempt the track.
No car park at the lagoon itself — drivers park at the Baths of Aphrodite and walk or 4×4 in. Most visitors arrive by boat.
June–September for warm water; come around midday when overhead sun lights the lagoon to its brightest turquoise. Early morning is calmest, before the boats arrive.
